Trees for Memorials and Newborns
Memorial:
Memorial trees symbolize life and growth and are an ideal way to remember the passing of a special person. The ULNRD offers reimbursement on a tree or a shrub when planted in honor of a loved one that has passed.
The only requirements for this special program are that the deceased must have lived within the District, the tree/shrub is planted in the District and that the tree/shrub is a perennial and acquired from a reputable establishment.
The Upper Loup NRD is happy to reimburse the family 50% on their purchase (Maximum of $100) within a year of the passing. Upon receiving proof of death and a copy of the plant receipt, the NRD will provide a check to the family.
Newborns:
The Upper Loup NRD offers parents of newborn babies, in the District, a reimbursement on a tree or shrub to commemorate the birth of the newest addition to their family. This is an environmentally friendly, unique and natural gift which will provide everlasting memories.
The only requirements for this special program are that the parents reside in the District, the tree/shrub is a perennial, and it is acquired from a reputable establishment.
The NRD will reimburse new parents 50% (maximum of $100) on their purchase within a year of the baby’s birth. Upon receiving proof of birth and a copy of the plant receipt, a check will be provided to the family.
